Medilinks Access has assembled an expert team that is helping veterans bridge the gap to the psychiatric services they deserve.
Collectively, our team has 85 years of full-time service in the Australian Defence Force, so we truly understand your experiences from your time in service.
We also have over 380 years of clinical experience between our clinical team, meaning we are equipped with the knowledge and experience to support you.


A Brisbane local who enlisted as a Rifleman in the Australian Regular Army at the age of 17. His service, both domestic and international deployments, instilled in him a strong sense of duty and resilience. After his time in the military, Brodie transitioned to a career in healthcare, earning a Bachelor of Nursing. His work as a Registered Nurse spanned various settings such as Paediatrics, Emergency, and General Practice where he honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of healthcare needs, particularly for veterans.
Brodie’s experiences in the army and healthcare led to the co-founding of Medilinks Access, an initiative aimed at addressing the mental health support gap for ex-serving Australian Defence Force personnel. He is an avid practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and enjoys surfing, activities that demonstrate his love for challenge and discipline.


Born in Melbourne, Mick enlisted in the Australian Regular Army at 20, serving both domestically and internationally. He capped off his military career at the Australian Defence Force Academy, a highlight. Transitioning to civilian life, Mick earned a Master’s Degree in Project Management, taking on roles as a project and program manager for various Defence projects in Canberra.
Mick’s commitment extends beyond the professional realm. He is passionate about supporting veterans, especially in their transition and mental health. As a husband and father of two, Mick values family time and is an avid AFL enthusiast. His diverse experiences and dedication make Mick a valuable addition to our team, embodying leadership, resilience, and genuine service.


Dr Peggy Brown AO is the Chief Medical Officer at Medilinks, bringing decades of expertise in psychiatry and mental health leadership. She has held prominent roles, including Commissioner on the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide, CEO of the National Mental Health Commission, and Chief Psychiatrist across multiple states and territories.
Passionate about systemic reform, Dr Brown is dedicated to improving mental health outcomes for veterans and Defence personnel. Outside of her professional commitments, she enjoys spending time with family and contributing to initiatives that drive positive change in the community.


Stefan acts as the Chief Financial Officer at Medilinks Access. With a strong background in finance and accounting as a Chartered Accountant, Stefan has a passion for helping others and also recognises the significance of how his work and the company can provide positive health benefits to the Veteran community.
Outside of his professional life, Stefan enjoys spending time with his family which usually involves chasing his young twin boys. Fitness and wellness are also areas of focus and enjoyment.


Born and raised in Wales, United Kingdom, Laura joined the British Army at 16 and served for 14 years before partaking in a lateral transfer to the Australian Regular Army in 2016. She finished her full-time service in Brisbane but she has deployed and fulfilled roles throughout Europe and the Middle East. Laura continues to serve as a reservist.
Since her transition to civilian life, she has worked for several years managing teams with a focus on Veteran and family wellbeing. As a Veteran, mother of two and partner of a Veteran, Laura is passionate about supporting the defence community.


With an extensive background working as a Senior Administration Officer in the healthcare field, Kelly has a passion for assisting individuals with ease of service access through process and quality improvement. Her experience extends to working with clients from the NDIS, the Aged Care sector, and most recently, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs. She believes that everyone, especially veterans, should be entitled to access timely care to ensure the well-being of themselves and their families.
Her passion for helping the veteran community stems from the profound respect she has for the sacrifices and commitment made for our nation’s defence. Kelly is currently studying for a Bachelor of Law and hopes to one day use this degree to further assist in making meaningful impacts in individual lives.


Alex enlisted in the Royal Australian Navy in 2015 as a Combat Systems Operator Sailor. Serving both domestically and internationally, Alex's military experience instilled in her a sense of resilience and integrity. After almost 7 years of service, Alex transitioned to civilian life in 2022 and travelled abroad for a year with her partner, visiting places all over Europe and North America.
Alex's passion for veterans' well-being, particularly mental health, has been fuelled by joining the Medilinks team as a Partnerships Manager. Alex looks forward to assisting the veteran community. Now settled in North Brisbane with her partner and spirited golden retriever, Alex enjoys the simpler things in life, such as a good book, a sweaty training session, and a well-earned round of golf.


Michael is an Army veteran with 11 years of full-time service. He served in the Infantry and Intelligence Corps with Deployments to Malaysia, Solomon Islands, Timor-Leste and Afghanistan. Michael has worked in the Ex-Service organisation space doing transition coaching for veterans navigating post-service life. He has also served as a group facilitator for an ESO that provides peer-to-peer well-being programs to veterans experiencing PTSD. As a partnership manager with Medilinks, Michael incorporates his diverse knowledge and background in the ex-service space to assist veterans in accessing mental health resources.
Michael loves the outdoors and enjoys camping, hiking, target shooting, and is an avid soccer player. He also hosts a podcast, where he conducts 1:1 interviews with veterans of all generations to capture personal stories and share them with the wider community.


Sue has a wealth of experience gained from working in mental health administration, both in the private and public sectors. She has also worked in the medico-legal industry and thoroughly understands the process from initial assessment to the production of a quality report.
Sue is aligned with the vision and values of Medilinks Access and shares the organisation’s dedication to assisting and supporting veterans throughout their mental health claims journey.
Sue enjoys spending time with her family and friends when not at work, binge-watching her favourite shows and listening to true crime podcasts.


Jae has spent over 10 years in the veterinary industry, working with fur babies and their loving owners before transitioning into the health industry where she has spent the past few years assisting with closing the gap between patients and the best-fitting health practitioners.
Jae has a passion for being able to work closely with people and help them access much-needed mental health services. Jae's desire to work with veterans stems from a deep appreciation, empathy and a belief in the importance of giving back and helping those who sacrificed so much for our nation.
Eager to contribute to their well-being and empowerment, it was an easy decision for Jae to join the Medilinks team.


Eliza has both a personal and professional connection to the veteran community, through service and employment. After finishing school, she enlisted in the Australian Regular Army and served five years as a Cook. Most recently, she worked with the Department of Veterans' Affairs and has a thorough understanding of the legislation, policy and procedures involved with the permanent impairment claims process.
Having experienced the lack of resources, services and extended wait times for veterans seeking support for mental health, Eliza is dedicated to upholding the Medilinks Access vision and values. She has a passion for both physical and mental health and is devoted to educating and ending the stigma surrounding veterans' mental health.


Gemma has recently moved across from DVA where she worked in the DRCA Permanent Impairment team. She has an in depth understanding of the veteran healthcare space and the difficulties veterans can face when submitting DVA claims for processing.
Prior to this, Gemma worked at Defence Health where she played an important role in supporting veterans' families in maintaining their private healthcare coverage. She finds it highly rewarding to assist veterans' transition from ADF to civilian life and appreciates the role that quality support systems and holistic care can play in this process.
Outside of her work, Gemma enjoys an active lifestyle, playing AFL football and going on afternoon runs.


hian has a strong background in customer service and has developed a strong passion for working with veterans over the last three years. Joining Medilinks has given her the opportunity to learn and assist in supporting more veterans with their mental health and DVA assessments. Rhian moved from the UK in 2013 for a 6 month working holiday, fell in love with Australia and never looked back!


With a passion for administration, she has dedicated six years to refining her skills in retail administration, finding joy and fulfilment in the intricacies of her work. Louise’s professional journey led her to Medilinks Access, where the commitment to customer focus and helping those in need resonates deeply with her values.
Beyond her desk, Louise brings her dynamic spirit to the world of cheerleading and dance. Her passion for hip-hop even led her to the World Championship stage, showcasing her dedication and talent on a global platform, balancing her active lifestyle, Louise enjoys gym sessions and tranquil walks with her dogs. In every endeavour, Louise exemplifies a dedication to efficiency, compassion, and a vibrant zest for life.


Marne recently completed a Bachelor in Psychological Sciences and plans to pursue honors in forensic psychology, as she has a deep passion for helping others with their mental health needs.
Marne is dedicated to making a positive change in the lives of veterans while being aligned with the vision and values of Mediinks Access. Since her cousin has been in the army she understands the hardships that veterans might face and plans to ensure they are taken care of with the highest level of respect and dedication.
Outside of work and academics, Marne enjoys Maui Thai, exploring the arts, reading and going on motorbike rides.


Melania has previously worked in hospitality focusing on her customer service skills. As she stepped into the team, she found an interest in the Medilinks values and what they stand for. Melania takes delight in working hard to meet the needs of others and has a passion for assisting veterans with their mental health assessments. Her goals are to expand her knowledge within the company and continue supporting the team.
Outside of work Melania is a competitive hip hop dancer where she is able to travel around the world. Dancing is where she spends the majority of her time outside of work however, she also enjoys spending time with her friends and family.


Taylah is an administration assistant at Medilinks Access, where she brings her strong administrative skills and a deep passion for helping others. With experience in administration, Taylah is dedicated to supporting the work that Medilinks does, which aligns with her own values.
Outside of work, she enjoys baking and traveling, cherishing the opportunity to explore new places.
Taylah has a personal connection to the challenges faced by veterans, as her partner currently serves within the Australian Defence Force and her grandfather was a Vietnam War veteran.
This has given her a firsthand understanding of the struggles veterans face, further motivating her work with Medilinks to make a positive impact and commitment to supporting the veteran community and supporting their needs.


Joe Solitaire is a seasoned Executive Assistant skilled at streamlining operations and providing exceptional support to high-level executives. With a knack for building strong, loyal working relationships, Joe is a trusted point of contact within the organisation.
Skilled in managing complex schedules, coordinating critical projects, and handling confidential matters with discretion, Joe ensures seamless administrative and operational support for the executive team.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys an active lifestyle that keeps him energised and focused. This balance brings a fresh perspective to his professional life. You can often find Joe at the dog park with his beloved Weimaraner, Wilson.
